I love animals and exploring outside.
Still love to laugh until I get the hiccups.
Still upset they refused to allow me to twirl fire batons at the football games.
I have always been drawn to the spotlight, feeling at home in front of a crowd.
I love learning and sharing this with others. If I’m not challenged I fear I will become stale and moldy like that piece of forgotten meatloaf in the back of the fridge.
I am eager to understand the world better and thus my place in it. If I can go somewhere new, great, if it is on a plane, in a different time zone, with a different language, even better.
As a new leader, I often felt insecure about my ability to lead effectively. I found myself trying to follow an imaginary script of what a leader should and shouldn’t do, only to realize that leadership isn’t that simple. Leadership is inherently messy, and leading well requires curiosity, positive intent, and a willingness to grow through every challenge. When we approach situations with a genuine desire to improve and create opportunities for others, remarkable transformations happen; not just within our teams, but within ourselves. This belief drives my passion for teaching about leadership, helping others embrace the complexities and rewards of leading authentically. I've spent nearly 20 years leading teams through both good times and challenges. It has been a blessing to engage in well over 100 conversations and presentations about leadership over the years. I hold a Master’s in Interpersonal Communication and a Doctorate in Leadership, but more importantly, I’ve gained hands-on experience that has shaped my approach. I’d love the chance to share what I’ve learned with your audience in a way that’s practical, relatable, and useful.
