Dr. Cié Gee is a higher ed leader, national speaker, and author who’s spent nearly two decades helping people and institutions grow through change. She’s known for blending strategy with empathy, whether she’s leading a team, giving a keynote, or writing about leadership challenges we all face. Cié talks openly about identity, confidence, and how to hold space for others while navigating your own growth. At her core, Cié believes that leadership is not about being the loudest voice in the room, it’s about creating the conditions for others to rise.

So here’s a little more about the fully human Cié

As a new leader, I often felt insecure about my ability to lead effectively. I found myself trying to follow an imaginary script of what a leader should and shouldn’t do, only to realize that leadership isn’t that simple. Leadership is inherently messy, and leading well requires curiosity, positive intent, and a willingness to grow through every challenge. When we approach situations with a genuine desire to improve and create opportunities for others, remarkable transformations happen; not just within our teams, but within ourselves. This belief drives my passion for teaching about leadership, helping others embrace the complexities and rewards of leading authentically. I've spent nearly 20 years leading teams through both good times and challenges. It has been a blessing to engage in well over 100 conversations and presentations about leadership over the years. I hold a Master’s in Interpersonal Communication and a Doctorate in Leadership, but more importantly, I’ve gained hands-on experience that has shaped my approach. I’d love the chance to share what I’ve learned with your audience in a way that’s practical, relatable, and useful.
