What's My Story?

As a new leader, I often felt insecure about my ability to lead effectively. I found myself trying to follow an imaginary script of what a leader should and shouldn’t do, only to realize that leadership isn’t that simple. Leadership is inherently messy, and leading well requires curiosity, positive intent, and a willingness to grow through every challenge. When we approach situations with a genuine desire to improve and create opportunities for others, remarkable transformations happen; not just within our teams, but within ourselves. This belief drives my passion for teaching about leadership, helping others embrace the complexities and rewards of leading authentically. I've spent nearly 20 years leading teams through both good times and challenges. It has been a blessing to engage in well over 100 conversations and presentations about leadership over the years. I hold a Master’s in Interpersonal Communication and a Doctorate in Leadership, but more importantly, I’ve gained hands-on experience that has shaped my approach.
